We are only a few hours away from the 2021 Latin American Music Awards and we are already dancing in our seats! The fierce and fabulous night is set to take place on Thursday, April 15 live from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the fiesta went on hiatus in 2020. However, the musical extravaganza is back and bigger than ever.

“During the last six years, the Latin AMAs has become a global platform for artists that truly resonate with their audience, as the winners are selected based solely on fans’ votes,” Ronald Day, the president of entertainment and content for Telemundo, told Billboard. “We are excited to bring our viewers an impressive, star-studded musical event that will also extend across platforms with extensive and exclusive additional content,” he adds.

The jam-packed evening full of outstanding performances and hot red carpet moments will be broadcast on Telemundo and will feature some of your favorite Latin entertainers. What are the Latin American Music Awards?

The Latin American Music Awards is a unique and different show compared to the other ceremonies that honor the arts. In fact, the organization just recognizes the best in the Latin music industry. This show is the Spanish-language counterpart of the American Music Awards produced by Dick Clark Productions. Similar to the AMAs, the Latin AMAs determine their winners by a poll of the public and music buyers. The first Latin award show was hosted by Lucero in 2015 and has been going strong ever since.

How can I watch the Latin AMAs?

The three-hour special will air live Thursday, April 15 on Telemundo and on the Spanish entertainment cable network, Universo. You can also watch the show on the Telemundo app. However, that’s not all – fans can watch La Alfombra De Latin AMAs red carpet at 7 PM ET right before the official ceremony at 8 PM ET.
